CHESTNUT HONEY
 
The monofloral honey chestnut is one of the main productions nationwide.
 
Foraging bees in the months between June and July, collect nectar from the flowers of the chestnut tree and then produce a kind of honey-colored amber, more or less dark, almost liquid.
 
Honey intense aroma, aromatic, pungent taste is not overly sweet and almost bitter, it is very persistent.
 
Chestnut honey being rich in minerals has greater nutritional properties. Goes well with medium aged pecorino. Chestnut honey is rich in fructose and is recommended for people suffering from anemia and in the case of a poor blood circulation.
