HONEYDEW
 
The honeydew is produced in the summer and is particularly attractive to bees.
 
Foraging bees in the months between July and August, they collect a sugary secretion from different types of plants, after the intervention of insects that feed on sap leave residue on the leaves, to them superfluous, and then produce a honey dark amber color almost black, which has the characteristic to remain liquid long.
 
This type of honey is quite thick, has an aroma of medium intensity, vegetable / fruit, its taste is not overly sweet (less than nectar honey), almost salty and persistent.
 
It is the only honey nectar of sap but very rich in minerals, is considered an excellent antiseptic lung and respiratory tract (bronchitis, tracheitis, asthma, colds and flus).
 
The honeydew is recommended to all those people who do not like honey.
